Wine Adwords: Red red wine, a great song but a Wine Adwords Problem

UB40 was a great band when I grew up and I loved Reddd reeeeddd wiiiiiiine.

It looks like many people still do because…

when you use the keyword ‘red wine’ many of the searches are for the song!

Not the wine.

So how do you get around that?

Add negative keywords such as

  • ub40
  • mp3
  • music
  • [red red wine]

The last one is an exact negative. That is if someone enters that exact word combination in google search then it will exclude your ad from showing. If you added red red wine then that could actually catch red wine searchers.

Now that Amy Winehouse….

Got any other great negative keywords?
